What is a Teleseminar and how much does it cost?

Teleseminars are live, interactive 'Seminars' conducted over the telephone through special tele-conferencing systems which can support many callers simultaneously and can be accessed from around the world. The call itself is free, and you only pay your own phone charges.
 
From Australia to the US, it's only around $1.60 for a full hour if you use a pre-paid phone card - in Australia  Daybreak Calling Card is recommend for the cheapest rate around - available from most 7-11 stores and local newsagents.  Alternatively (in Australia) you can call 1300 663 570 and speak to an operator about obtaining a Daybreak Calling Card to call America. 

Or it is suggested that you download skype (www.skype.com) to your computer and purchase skype credit.  To use skype your must have a microphone.  Most computers have a in build microphone.  If your computer does not have a microphone, you can purchase a headset with a microphone attached from your local electronic store, these cost approximately $15.00 (AUD).

 

With this technology, each student can join in the teleseminar just by dialling a phone number at the designated time to connect with their Teleseminar leader and other students from around the world.
